Here is a simple recipe for clam chowder:

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 small celery stalk, diced
  • 1 small potato, peeled and diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cans (6.5 ounces each) minced clams, undrained
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, cook the bacon over medium heat until it is crispy.
  2. Add the onion, celery, and potato, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  3. Stir in the garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  4. Stir in the flour, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the flour is lightly browned.
  5. Gradually stir in the chicken broth, heavy cream, and milk, and bring the mixture to a boil.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the soup for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
  7. Stir in the clams and their juice, and cook for an additional 5 minutes until the clams are heated through.
  8. Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the soup hot, and enjoy!

You can also add additional vegetables to the soup, such as carrots or corn, to add more flavor and nutrition. Enjoy!
