In a third shallow dish, mix together the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, and salt and pepper.
Coat the halibut fillets in the flour, then dip them in the eggs, and finally coat them in the bread crumb mixture.
Heat a few inches of vegetable oil in a large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the halibut fillets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
Remove the halibut from the skillet with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serve the pan-fried halibut hot, with lemon wedges on the side if desired.
Note: You can also add other ingredients to the bread crumb mixture, such as chopped herbs, grated lemon zest, or minced garlic, for extra flavor. You can also top the halibut with a sauce, such as a lemon butter sauce or a tomato basil sauce, for added flavor. Just be sure to prepare the sauce while the halibut is cooking.
